The method involves determination of bath level of metal bath (3) during charge with a cable-less transmitter-receiver system according to a radio frequency identification process by measuring radio waves-signal strength between a battery operated radio frequency transmitter and a radio frequency receiver (10). Reduction of the radio waves-signal strength at a distance between the radio frequency transmitter and the radio frequency receiver is used for momentary distance determination. The radio frequency receiver is arranged above a converter (1). An independent claim is also included for a device for determination of bath level of metal bath in a metallurgical container. |
