A steam-producing household appliance (1 ) with a heatable pressurized water tank (5), a first pumping arrangement for water from the pressurized water tank (5), a first line (8), which is upstream of the first pumping arrangement (6) in order to feed water from the pressurized water tank (5) to the first pumping arrangement (6), wherein the pressurized water tank (5) is equipped with a water level regulator for setting a water level (10) in the pressurized water tank during operation of the household appliance (1 ). The household appliance (1 ) has a second line (9) for removing water above and/or below the water level (10). During operation of the household appliance (1 ), the first line (8) always removes, during the water removal process, water from above and below the water level (10) at the same time. One section of the first line (8) is preferably designed as a filter. With the invention, wet steam for steam blasts can be advantageously produced via simple structural means in the steam-producing household appliance (1 ). It is also possible to prevent dust or calcium particles entering into the first line (8) and from there via the connecting line (4) into the iron (3). |
