A portable terminal and a screen displaying method thereof are provided to enable a user to use a specific function which he/she prefers more conveniently. A display module(151) outputs information processed in a portable terminal(100). If the execution screen of the first non-communication mode is set up as a stand-by screen on the display module, a controller(180) controls so that the execution screen can be displayed as the stand-by screen when the execution screen of the second non-communication mode is terminated. The non-communication mode includes a multimedia-related mode, a camera mode, a game mode and electronic diary mode. |
