The method involves transmitting an associated parameter set (5) to an exchange unit by a mobile terminal (3). An exchange field device (6) is configured and/or parameterized corresponding to the transmitted associated parameter set. A set of identification marks (8) associated to the exchange field device is determined and transmitted to a web server (4) by the mobile terminal. The parameter set with the identification mark is linked and/or deposited on the web server based on another identification mark (7), where the parameter set is associated to an exchanged field device (1).
