The connector (1) has contact device (3) that is provided with through-opening through which cable is passed into interior of contact device along cable insertion direction (D). A strain relief device has sleeve (13) that is provided with flexible finger (13c) that is bent along bending direction (B). A sleeve mounting device (15) has complementary engaging unit (23) that is moved along cable insertion direction, and rotated about pivot axis (A). The contact device and engagement unit are locked together by bending the fingers of sleeve along bending direction.
