A method for speeded detection of methicillin resistance of staphylococcus comprises using of standard disc-diffusion method. After 4-5 hours of incubation of pure culture of staphylococcus in the presence of disc with antibiotic the filter paper damped with 1% solution of TTX is applied on the surface of the nutrient medium, and incubated for 30 minutes at . After that the presence and diameter of colourless zone around the disc is considered.
