PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet slide device for a vehicle capable of immediately notifying a user of breakage of a lock spring which urges a locking member to rotate so that relative movement on both rails is locked.SOLUTION: A lock lever 30 rotates on a supporting axis 22 and disengages a locking hole and locking claw 13b on lock plate 39 so as to selectively lock relative movement on a lower rail 3 and upper rail 4. Each extended part 51 on lock spring 50 comprises wedge part 53 urging the supporting axis 22 in the direction opposite to the direction in which the lock lever 30 is urged. Both end parts thereof arranged in a manner where the wedge part 53 is sandwiched therebetween in a forth and back direction are engaged on the lock lever 30 and upper rail 4 respectively. One of both extended parts 51 comprises stress focusing part 56 where stress is focused on comparative to another part on one side of the wedge part 53 in a forth and back direction. A plurality of engagement holes 17 being able to be engaged to the stress focusing part 56 of the extended part 51 released from the supporting axis 22 is juxtaposed on the lower rail 3. |
