PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security management unit and a host controller interface including the same, and an operation method thereof, and a computer system including the host controller interface.SOLUTION: An operation method of the host controller interface includes: a step for receiving a buffer descriptor including sector information from a main memory; a step for fetching data by using a source address included in the buffer descriptor; a step for selecting an entry from a security policy table by using the sector information; a step for determining whether to encrypt the fetched data by using the security policy defined by the selected entry.
