The present invention is to provide a facial expression producing device for a character robot capable of producing various facial expressions with reality through continuous operations. The facial expression producing device for a character robot according to the present invention is mounted on a character face to make the facial expressions. The facial expression producing device comprises first and second operation parts for varying the shape of the left and right eyes of the character face; and a third operation part for varying the shape of a mouth of the character face. Each first, second, or third operation part comprises an operation body; first, second, third, and fourth rotation plates arranged on the operation body to be rotated and having first, second, third, and fourth fixed protrusions, respectively; and an expansion member fixed on the first, second, third, and the fourth fixed protrusions and having a variable shape extended or contracted when the first, second, third, and fourth rotation plates rotate.
