PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper and a speaker using the same which improve a force supporting an amplitude of a diaphragm and can lower a minimum resonance frequency while suppressing the amplitude of the diaphragm.SOLUTION: A damper and a speaker using the same have different lengths in a long axis direction and in a short axis direction, have arch-shaped outer periphery in the long axis direction and a linear outer periphery in the short axis direction, and are formed into a thin and long shape as a whole. They are provided with: a voice coil hole 31 which is provided in the center; a circular mountain/valley part 34 which is concentric to the voice coil hole 31 and has a mountain and a valley in a sectional view formed up to the outer periphery in the short axis direction; an arc-shaped mountain/valley part 35 which has a mountain and valley in a sectional view that are formed concentric to the voice coil hole 31 outside the circular mountain/valley part 34; and a mountain/valley part 36 parallel to a pair of long axes which has a mountain and a valley in a sectional view formed parallel to the long axes respectively toward an outer peripheral side in the long axis direction continuing both ends of the arch-shaped mountain/valley part 35. |
