COATED PAPER AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a technology for manufacturing a coated paper equivalent to one containing a synthetic adhesive with high operability, by keeping surface strength of the coated paper and suppressing piling to a blanket at offset printing without containing a synthetic copolymer adhesive.SOLUTION: A coated paper has a pigment coating layer containing a pigment and an adhesive on a base paper and satisfies following (1) to (3). (1) The content of styrene contained in 1 mg of the coated paper is 0.5μg or less. (2) A contact angle of the coated paper 0.1 sec. after dropping distilled water is 75° or less. (3) The content of an adhesive in the pigment coating layer is 15 pts.wt. or less based on 100 pts.wt. of the pigment.
