<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that as the number of pixels is increased with high definition of a display device and thus the numbers of gate lines and the numbers of signal lines are increased, when the numbers of gate lines and the numbers of signal lines are increased, it becomes difficult to mount an IC chip having a driver circuit for driving the gate line and the signal line by bonding or the like, causing an increase in manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device comprises a pixel portion and a driver circuit for driving the pixel portion on the same substrate. The pixel portion comprises a thin film transistor using an oxide semiconductor. At least a part circuit of the driver circuit comprises the thin film transistor using the oxide semiconductor. Both the pixel portion and the driver circuit are provided on the same substrate, thereby manufacturing costs are reduced.</p> |
