A partial discharge detection method for high voltage power equipment according to the present invention is capable of effectively detecting a partial discharge of high voltage power equipment through signal coupling, as a non-contact type partial discharge detection unit is installed around an unclosed lead wire inside a distribution box of the high voltage power equipment. And the method is capable of effectively judging whether the high voltage power equipment is partially discharged or not, as the distribution box cuts off radiating external noise and is resistant to external noise to facilitate the detection of signals.
