PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finder device and a camera capable of reducing discomfort given to a photographer to improve visibility.SOLUTION: A finder device 3 includes: a first optical system 20 for optically observing a subject; a display unit 21 capable of displaying an image corresponding to an optical image observed with the first optical system 20; and a second optical system 22 for guiding the image displayed on the display unit to an optical path of the first optical system. The finder device 3 visually recognizes the subject captured in the optical image and the subject captured in the image being overlapped and matched with each other.
