PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a preview image that is useful when preview display is performed before rasterization is completed.SOLUTION: In a process in which a plurality of objects constituting an output image that is an object of the preview display are sequentially drawn in a memory area, when each of the plurality of objects is drawn, an area of a drawn portion of the output image and an evaluation value of quantitative evaluation to visual information that are represented by the portion are calculated, when the area is greater than or equal to an area threshold value and the evaluation value is greater than or equal to an information amount threshold value, an image is generated as a preview image that represents only a drawn object of the plurality of objects.
