PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for extracting copper from a jelly filled cable are provided to improve jelly separation efficiency by melting a polyethylene resin and a jelly at a high temperature environment. CONSTITUTION: A melting tank(111) receives a jelly filled cable. A jelly removed from the jelly filled cable is exhausted to outside through an exhaust hole. The melting tank is detachably arranged inside a housing(101). A heating part(151) heats an inner part of the housing. A storage tank(141) supplies a melting agent to the melting tank, or receives the jelly exhausted from the melting tank. A supply part(133) of an oxygen blocking agent supplies an oxygen blocking agent to the housing. |
