Disclosed are a multimedia system capable of improving a USB recognition rate and a method thereof. The system and the method retry communication with a USB device after adjusting the intensity of communication by increasing or decreasing a current amount supplied to a data line (D+, D-) of a USB port in communication failure with the USB device.
