<p>The press has printing plate cartridges (18) overlaying a plate cylinder (14) in each printing device (13) in each printing unit (11, 12) in a printing tower (10) with printing plates. Some of the cartridges are vertically movable such that the cartridges receive the plates in a position aligned and/or position accurate manner, when the cartridges are lowered to an area of the unit (11). The cartridges provided with the plates are raised by a lifting device starting from the printing unit (11) to the area of the printing unit (12) which is positioned vertically above the unit (11).</p> |
