The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition or a healthy food composition comprising an Oenanthe javanica extract, a fraction thereof, or a flavonoidic compound isolated from the same as an active ingredient for antioxidant or anti-obesity activity. The Oenanthe javanica extract, the fraction thereof, and the flavonoidic compound isolated from the same according to the present invention has an excellent anti-obesity effect showing inhibition activity for pancreatic lipase which is related to fat absorption in vivo and has an excellent antioxidant effect representing a radical scavenging activity; thereby can be valuably used as a pharmaceutical composition or a healthy food composition for antioxidant or anti-obesity activity.
