PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve screen luminance in an IPS type liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: A common electrode 109 having a slit 1091 is arranged via an insulating film on a rectangular pixel electrode 107. The slit 1091 has a straight line part 1092 and a bent part 1093. The bent part 1093 is necessary for preventing a push domain. The thickness of the insulating film under the bent part 1093 of the slit 1091 is made smaller than the thickness of the insulating film of the straight line part 1092 of the slit 1091 so that it is possible to increase permeability in the bent part 1093, and to increase the permeability of the whole pixels. Thus, it is possible to improve screen luminance. |
