PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a printing ink composition which yields a high gloss and a high coloring density and which can be favorably dispersed while satisfying fundamental printing ink performance demands; a printing ink composition; and a printed matter prepared by using the same printing ink composition.SOLUTION: The present invention was completed upon the discovery that cited problems can be solved by using a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester surfactant at a specified step on an occasion for manufacturing a printing ink. In other words, the method of the present invention for manufacturing a printing ink composition is a printing ink composition manufacturing method comprising a step (A) of manufacturing an admixture including a varnish for a printing ink, a pigment, a solvent, and a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester surfactant and a step (B) of manufacturing a printing ink composition including the admixture and a solvent. |
