PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane pump capable of improving the startability at an extremely low temperature.SOLUTION: The position of a vane 7 (or a seal vane 7a) transferring from a suction area to a discharge area is set between the position vertically lower than the rotation center O of a rotor 6 on a vertical line extending through the rotation center O of the rotor 6 and the position at 45° from a horizontal line passing through the rotation center O of the rotor 6 on the rotational direction side of the rotor 6, as viewed from that lower position, to the rotational direction side of the rotor 6. |
