摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a cleaning robot and a control method thereof, wherein the control method comprises: identifying the information of a predetermined running pattern; recognizing a path trajectory based on a running speed; generating a running pattern based on the recognized path trajectory and the predetermined running pattern; and repetitively running the generated running pattern at regular intervals, wherein the generated running pattern has a first turning path in which the cleaning robot turns in a first direction, a first path connected to the first turning path, and a second turning path which is connected to a second path and in which the cleaning robot turns in a second direction. The cleaning robot according to the present invention is able to perform cleaning without spilling dust so that the cleaning performance of the cleaning robot can be improved. In particular, the cleaning robot is able to perform wet-cleaning while driving the dust continuously. In addition, the stopping number of the cleaning robot at direction changing timings while the cleaning robot performs the cleaning is minimized so that cleaning time can be reduced, and, as a result, an initial coverage speed can be increased. Therefore, user satisfaction can be improved.</p>
