Disclosed are a contact information searching method and device, the method comprising: receiving a letter selected by a user, acquiring a list of first Chinese characters in the Chinese names of contacts corresponding to the selected letter; sequentially ranking in a circular bitmap the Chinese characters on the list; and rotating the circular bitmap with a swipe gesture of the user. The present invention enables a user to simply and quickly locate a target contact, thus facilitating the user.
