A method of displaying a dual-view three-dimensional image on a display 10 comprising a pixel array 110 that displays two spatially interleaved image, an image control layer (such as an LCD parallax barrier) 120 that selectively allows separate lines of sight to the interleaved images and a control unit 130 that transmits commands to active shutter glasses. The method comprises spatially interleaving two images, each image being a first image of a pair of stereoscopic images and transmitting a control signal to the active shutter glasses so that they admit light only through a first lens. A second image of a pair of stereoscopic images is then spatially interleaved and a control signal transmitted to the active shutter glasses to admit light only through a second lens. The display may further include a stereoscopic camera 140 comprising two imaging units 140L, 140R which, when the display is moved from a vertical to a horizontal position, may pivot to either encompass part of the surface of the display or to face an expected position of a user. |
