The transformer (1) has a generator (9) for generating a switching signal to control a switch (7) and generate current through an inductor (3) and intensity of current being determined by a duty ratio of the switching signal. A limitation unit limits generation of the current through the inductor when a value of direct current (DC) input voltage (Vin) is decreased. The limitation unit includes a circuit breaker to provide regulation power (VREG) to the generator. A regulator (11) determines a regulation tension and provides the regulation power to the circuit breaker.
