PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing foamable polystyrene-based resin particles which can obtain a polystyrene-based resin foamed molded product with excellent low thermal conductivity and are excellent in dispersion stability during polymerization, foamable polystyrene-based resin particles obtained by the method, and a polystyrene-based resin foamed molded product with excellent low thermal conductivity using the foamable polystyrene-based resin particles.SOLUTION: There are obtained foamable polystyrene-based resin particles by a production method in which a styrene monomer is suspended and polymerized in an aqueous medium in the presence of graphite and an azo-based polymerization initiator A, followed by adding a volatile foaming agent before, during and after the polymerization. A polystyrene-based resin foamed molded product is obtained by foam molding the foamable polystyrene-based resin particles. |
