The support profile (1) has a base (S) which is connected with flanges (F1,F2), and areas of different thickness. The base is provided with a connection unit (AE) which serves for connection of a commercial vehicle part. The connection unit is formed on a thicker area of the support profile. The base has thicker areas which are spaced from each other. One of the flange is made thicker than the thinner areas of the base. Another flange is made of same thickness as the thicker area of the base. The thicker areas of the support profile are asymmetrical.
