PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element that is excellent in initial properties of photoelectric conversion efficiency or that is high in durability against light irradiation, and to provide a solar battery using the same.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element comprises a base substance, a first electrode, a photoelectric conversion layer, a hole transport layer, and a second electrode.
