摘要	<p>The method involves casting a liquid metal into a casting mold (1), and inducing solidification of the metal by controlled cooling. The cooling of the liquid metal in first section (3) of casting mold is controlled in such a way that metal solidifies in a directionally solidified crystal structure or a single-crystal structure. The cooling of the liquid metal in second section (5) of casting mold is controlled in such a way that liquid metal solidifies in a multidirectional crystal structure. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) gas turbine component; and (2) casting mold.</p>
