The tray has a cardboard sheet (1) including corners having cutouts that define tabs (4, 5), where each tab is connected to a central portion (3) via a folding rib (6). The tabs include another folding rib (7) to be fixed on peripheral edges (8) of the tabs. A plastic film (40) is applied on an inner face of the cardboard sheet for connecting and maintaining the central portion, the tabs, the cutouts, and the peripheral edges in a waterproof manner following the profile of the tray, so that the peripheral edges are continuous planes without reliefs or extra thickness. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a cardboard tray. |
