Disclosed are a method, an apparatus, and a system of remote control positioning with a light ray. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a visible light ray and key-pressing action information emitted by an emission end apparatus; obtaining screen image information comprising a cursor based on the key-pressing action information; parsing location coordinates on a screen image related to the cursor on the screen image based on the obtained screen image information; and performing an operation corresponding to an interface element at the parsed location coordinates of the cursor based on the location coordinates. By using the present invention, an interface element can be positioned by obtaining a screen image and based on a cursor on a screen, thus accurately and conveniently implementing operations and controls on complex interfaces.
