The method involves conveying rod-shaped objects (115) in retaining cavities (114, 124) of drum bodies (112, 122) of conveying drums (110, 120). The objects are transferred to a delivery area (130) between the conveying drums by forming form-fit connections with contours of the retaining cavities, respectively. The supply of holding low pressure to the retaining cavity of one of the conveying drums is stopped during formation of the form-fit connections, and the objects are simultaneously loaded with the holding low pressure at the retaining cavity of another conveying drum. An independent claim is also included for a drum machine. |
