The novel title cpds. (III) are prepd. according to the equation : (I) is diazotised and coupled with enamine (II). The product is converted to the copper complex and heated to give (III) (where R1 is CN or a free, esterified or amide carboxyl gp.; R2 is opt. substd. aryl; X1, X2 are H, carboxyl-free, ester or amide-, sulphonyl-free, ester or amide, alkyl- or arylsulphonyl; Y is H, halogen, acylamino, opt. substd. v-triazolyl or pyrazolyl gp; Y1 is Y or NH2 or NO2; where Y1 = NO2, the product (III Y = NO2) is reduced and acylated). (III) are brighteners for wool, cotton, paper, plastics, polymers etc. esp. as alkali salts. |
