The insert (INS) has an equipment fixing unit (FIX1) surrounded by a circular groove (RAIN) to increase flexibility of the insert, where the fixing unit is formed as a thread and/or an adhesive and/or a pin. The groove and the fixing unit are coaxial to each other. A central portion of the insert located between the groove and the fixing unit has height greater than that of an insert portion that is located outside the groove to form a gap (J) for fixing an equipment in direct contact with an inner wall of a structural panel. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a structural panel and equipment assembly (2) a method for assembling an equipment on a structural panel by an insert.
