The present invention relates to a modified polylactide resin which has superior physical properties such as mechanical properties, transparency, processability, etc. and especially superior coating properties; and which is desirably applied to food packaging because there is no problem such as pollution, toxicity, etc. and to a preparation method thereof. The polylactide resin is provided through co-polymerization of epoxidized cardanol derivatives which is biomass and lactide monomers.
