PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful method for detecting colon cancer with a polynucleotide.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for detecting colon cancer with polynucleotides for diagnosis of colon cancer comprising polynucleotides relating to five genes. The polynucleotides are selected from a group comprising: polynucleotides whose change in expression level in feces from a patient having colon cancer can be detected in comparison between feces from a patient having colon cancer and feces from a patient having no colon cancer; variant thereof; derivatives thereof or fragments thereof. Concretely, the group comprises: polynucleotides for detecting expression level of all of the genes (CEBPB, FCGR3A, PFKFB3, IL8 and SOD2); polynucleotides comprising nucleic acid sequence of the genes in which t is replaced with u; polynucleotides comprising complementary sequence of the nucleic acid sequence; variant thereof; derivatives thereof; or fragments which comprises 18 or more sequential bases therein; and a polynucleotide or fragment which hybridizes to any one of the polynucleotides under a stringent condition. There is also provided the polynucleotides, kit or DNA chip for diagnosis of colon cancer. |
