An illuminator includes a body configured to be interconnected to a source of power and having a light source carried thereon. A scattering device associated with the body and in register with the light source includes a light coupler configured for placement adjacent to the light source. The light coupler includes a first region proximal the at least one light source and a second region abutting the first region and defining a boundary therebetween. Light emitted from the light source is scattered as a result of travelling through the first region and the second region. |
