A workpiece holder (35) is arranged on a turret (31), while the turret and the workpiece spindle are engaged relative to each other in a transfer position. A workpiece is directly acquired from the workpiece spindle by the workpiece holder. The workpiece holder is arranged to transfer the acquired workpiece in processing position.
