The machine (101) has a permanent-magnetic rotor associated to a stator. Three phases are formed by conductor windings (107, 109, 111) with input connections (113) and output connections (115). An electric circuit is designed such that the phases are switchable between a star configuration and a single phase configuration. The electric circuit is provided with a low-side-MOSFET and a high-side-MOSFET. The low-side-MOSFET and a high-side-MOSFET are interconnected to half bridges (103, 105) with the input connections and the output connections.
