1,157,171. Display apparatus. R. G. ZUILI. 5 Sept., 1966 [6 Sept., 1965; 28 June, 1966], No. 39655/66. Heading G5C. [Also in Division G2] A display apparatus includes two projection systems having lens-holders 4, 5 and lamps 2, 3, the axes of the systems being adjustably inclined so that complementary coloured images which are projected singly or together at predetermined intervals from transparencies held in channels 6, 7 may be superposed on a translucent rear projection screen. A motor-driven cam 12 actuates contact breakers 20, 21 in the lamp circuits to control the projection timing. The apparatus is set up by tilting housing 1 about pivots 28a and clamping through lever 29. The projector axes are then adjusted by rotation of knob 46 and screw (44), Fig. 2 (not shown), to drive a plate (43) engaging brackets (39-42) carried on plates (34, 35), pivoting at (37, 38), on which are mounted the projectors. The transparencies may comprise transfer images on a glass plate over which a coloured plastic sheet is detachably secured by adhesive tape. In a modification, non-coloured transparencies are used with a rotatable disc having coloured sectors, or again the lamps may be run continuously and masks interposed. |
