PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for ink jet printing capable of reducing color mixture between pixels in ink jet printing and enabling a color filter for a display excellent in pixel form accuracy and pixel concentration uniformity to be manufactured.SOLUTION: A base material for ink jet printing contains a transparent substrate 1 and an image-receiving layer 2 containing an acrylic copolymer formed on one side of the transparent substrate, and the acrylic copolymer contains 1 to 10 wt.% of a structural unit monomer represented by general formula (1) or (2) based on a solid part of the image-receiving layer.
