PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of reducing the cost by doing away with a boot which covers a caulking ring.SOLUTION: An optical connector includes: a housing for storing a ferrule connected to a tip 43 of an optical fiber 15 of an optical fiber cable 13; a caulking sleeve 25 which is stored in the housing and has a cylinder part 23 led out of a rear opening of the housing when the optical fiber 15 is inserted inside; and a caulking ring 29 for fixing a tensile-strength line 35 and envelope 37 of the optical fiber cable 13 attached to the cylinder part 23. An annular groove 27 with a bottom bored concentrically with an axis line is formed on a rear end surface 53 of the cylinder part 23, and the caulking ring 29 for caulking and fixing the tensile-strength line 35 and the envelope 37 of the optical fiber cable 13 worn over an inner peripheral wall 61 of the annular groove 27 is disposed within the annular groove 27. |
