PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device with stable density regardless of overlap of transparent toner.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: an image forming unit that forms a toner image using transparent toner on a first image holding body disposed in the uppermost stream of a belt-like body 30, and forms a toner image using special color toner on an adjacent second image holding body; a density detection unit 40 that detects density of the toner image on the belt-like body; an adjusting toner image formation control unit 92 that detects density of a toner image including only the toner image formed on the second image holding body and a toner image formed by overlapping the toner image on the second image holding body on the toner image using the transparent toner; and a density control unit 91 for forming on the second image holding body, a toner image with adjusted density so that the density of color of the toner image using the transparent toner and a toner image on a sheet based on image data on the second image holding body becomes close to the density of color of an image which is not associated with toner image formation using the transparent toner on the basis of both density detection results. |
