<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device relieving a press-contact force between a fixing member and a pressure member, with simple constitution without hindering downsizing. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device 10 is constituted by housing the fixing member (15) and the pressure member (16) in a housing 17. The fixing device 10 has a pressure transmitting member 20 and a pressure relieving member 30, and is constituted to activate the pressure transmitting member 20 in a direction in which the press-contact force between the pressure member and the fixing member is relieved by activation of the pressure relieving member 30. The pressure relieving member 30 is engaged with the housing 17 by rocking relative to the pressure transmitting member 20, and turns relative to the housing 17 centering around the engaging part, thereby the pressure transmitting member 20 is made to turn in the direction in which the press-contact force between the pressure member and the fixing member is relieved while shifting a turning center position in a direction in which its length dimension in a radial direction seen from a turning center is decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
