The present invention relates to a welding torch device having a gas sensing function. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a welding torch device having a gas sensing function which enables a worker to rapidly sense gas in a working site by integrally installing a gas sensing unit capable of sensing gas on a torch body of a welding torch. The present invention includes the torch body where a welding cable is connected; and the gas sensing unit which is installed on the torch body to be integrated and which senses gas. The gas sensing unit includes a sensor unit sensing gas and the concentration of gas; a control unit which receives sensing signals from the sensor unit and operates a current cutoff switch or a gas cutoff valve; and a warning lamp which is connected to the control unit and which displays the existence of gas to the outside according to the concentration of the sensed gas. When gas is sensed, the control unit cuts a current off by operating the current cutoff switch and prevents the generation of arcs or cuts gas supplied to a torch nozzle via a gas pipe by operating the gas cutoff valve; and operates the warning lamp so that a worker can rapidly recognize risks. |
