Provided is a dispersion composition that has a high refractive index and comprises metal oxide particles (A) having a primary particle size of from 1 nm to 100 nm, a polymer compound (B) represented by general formula (1) having a weight-average molecular weight of 10000 or less, and a solvent (C), the dispersion composition offering an excellent film surface state after coating. Also provided are a curable composition, a transparent film, a microlens, and a solid-state imaging element that use said dispersion composition. Also provided is a compound that can provide a dispersion composition having a high refractive index and offering an excellent film surface state after coating and drying, and that can maintain particle dispersion stability.
