<p>The laundry dryer has a drum (1) for receiving laundry to be dried, a process air circuit for drying the laundry in the drum and a controller (8). The laundry dryer has a temperature sensor (20) for measuring the ambient temperature. The controller is configured such that the ambient temperature is determined with the temperature sensor.
