PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device in which suitable projection brightness is maintained irrespective of luminosity performance of a replaced projection optical system, and wasteful power consumption at a light source and reduction in the service life are suppressed.SOLUTION: An image projection device 20 displays an image by modulating light from a light source 4 by means of an image forming element 7, and projecting it via replaceable projection optical systems 9 and 13 on a projected surface 15. Control means 11: reads use optical system luminosity information, which is optical system information corresponding to a projection optical system attached to the device out of storage means 12 and 14, storing optical system luminosity information, which is information on luminosity of each of a plurality of projection optical systems replaceable with respect to the device; and controls, by using the use optical system luminosity information, a light output of the light source so that luminosity of the projection light projected from the projection optical system to the projected surface becomes target luminosity commonly set for the plurality of projection light systems. |
