Disclosed is a recognition method and apparatus for pirated encryption lock. The method comprises: a recognition apparatus determining whether an encryption lock is connected to a host, and acquiring preset data from a detection list, a data amount in the detection list being greater than the capacity of an encryption lock storage region, the recognition apparatus obtaining first input data and first output data, sending the first input data to the encryption lock, receiving fifth output data, comparing whether the fifth output data is the same as the first output data, if yes, outputting information that the encryption lock is authorized, and if not, outputting information that the encryption lock is pirated. In the present invention, data in a detection list is greater than the capacity of an encryption lock storage region, and in the recognition process, an authorized encryption lock can return correct output data according to the encryption algorithm thereof, while a pirated encryption lock returns incorrect data due to the lack of a correct encryption algorithm, so that a recognition apparatus can recognize a pirated encryption lock, thereby enhancing the protection strength of an encryption lock. |
